Moving PEOPLE are a local Bus and Coach Company started in 2007 running a mixed fleet of 21 vehicles from 14 seat minibuses through to 78 seat double deckers and a fleet of five executive class Setra Coaches. We provide a range of services from school and college transport, private and corporate hire. We also have a fully inclusive tour and day excursion programme.

Holidays In Style

We have a total commitment to customer service and providing the best possible holiday experience for our customers. All our passengers are picked up at their home address and transported to either our base in Clayton Le Moors or to Rochdale town hall, which are the only two pick up points  for the coach. We do not amalgamate pickups and we do not use feeder coaches.  Customers are greeted with complimentary tea, coffee and newspapers. Meals and coffee stops on the journey to and from the destination are included in the holiday price and not taken at motorway services but at specially picked hotels and are included in the holiday price.

We offer a full private hire facility for all occasions and a wide range of sizes including a low floor easy access vehicle. We can tailor trips and holidays at home or on the continent for special interest groups.

Student Transport

Training

We believe that our commitment to training is unique in the coach industry with two successful apprentices through Training 2000 and plans for a third. Our own in house Jaupt approved CPC training school, has just passed its first inspection with flying colours. Through Accrington and Rossendale college we are currently putting our drivers through an NVQ in customers service qualification and one driver is undergoing training to become our in house PCV Driving Instructor.  The outcome of this will be the ability of our apprentices to complete their training with the option of taking their PSV licence at end. It will also enable us to train drivers from scratch and for them to take and maintain their CPC capability.

Oak Royal is not just about golf there are also two fishing lakes Fly fishing and Coarse fishing.  A beautifully-appointed clubhouse, recently extended to facilitate a golf shop and men’s and ladies’ locker-rooms, and hugely popular restaurant and function room, make Oak Royal the complete package.

The Clubhouse Restaurant is open to the general public as well as to golf members and non-members and offers a full range of delicious home-cooked dishes.  It is open for breakfasts, lunches, snacks and an Early Birdie menu which is served 5.00pm – 7.30pm Tuesday-Saturday.  A Sunday Carvery, which is extremely popular at £6.95, is served from noon until 6pm.

A first-floor function suite has its own bar, fascinating lighting and fitted dance floor, and is available for all types of celebration, including weddings, christenings and birthdays. It is also adaptable for meetings or conferences etc.

It’s hardly surprising, then, that the Bury Lane venue in the village of Withnell near Chorley and situated in stunning countryside was fast-tracked into the Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs whose delegates admitted being pleasantly taken aback when they inspected the course.
Equally so has been the number of visiting golfers who joined after playing only a few rounds and have helped to boost the steadily rising membership.
