Become a Superhero for Starlight’s 10th anniversary
How far is the walk/run? The new 10k route will be the same for runners and walkers. Everyone will set off from the Soccerdome at 10pm in a blaze of superhero glory with runners at the front of the pack.
What happens on the night? All entrants must sign in. Walkers start and finish at the Soccerdome, Haslingden Road, Guide, Blackburn. The fully marshalled event gets underway at 10pm (registration from 8.00pm for all entrants) On completion you’ll be handed your well-earned medal before refreshments are served.
This needs to be decided before being included Get there early to ride the bucking bronco and fly like a real superhero on the bouncy castle! Boogie in the bubble marquee. Pose for a super hero photo in our peep through boards. The fun will be hosted by Paul and Olly from The Bee Radio.
How does the Team 10 Challenge work? You simply need to all enter the same team name at the time of registering and return your fundraising at the same time. Once we have totted up the winning team, we will contact you to arrange your well-earned luxury prize!
Messages in memory or support can be written in the pow star printed on the back of your t-shirt with black or coloured marker pens. You can get as creative as you like!
Can I walk in memory of someone? Absolutely. We encourage all entrants to proudly display the names of anyone they wish to dedicate their walk or run to. Maybe your Starlight memory is someone dear that you wish to remember while taking the challenge.
Who can I run or walk with? Gather your friends, family, work colleagues, sports club or other leading ladies or come along on your own and make a new group of friends. The event is open to ladies and girls (10 years and over) of all ages and fitness levels.
Can I dress up? Of course you can! As long as you have sensible footwear, feel free to dress to impress. Which superhero will you choose? Or will you invent a brand new one! Anything goes on Starlight night! If you need inspiration, check out our accessory stall on the night where we will have a host of fun extras to make you stand out from the crowd.
