Now our Hope For Haiti auction has ended, we are pleased to announce that you all helped to raise the rather impressive amount of £14,000 for the Haiti appeal. This means that the money raised could potentially buy:
2100 x tarpaulins or plastic sheets to provide basic shelter to protect families;
8400 x buckets to help families carry clean water;
5880 x mosquito kits to protect children from malaria;
560 x student kits, containing notebooks, plastic water bottles, rucksacks and stationery;
1120 x hygiene kits with essentials such as soap, detergent, toothpaste and toothbrushes;
398 x shelter repair kits for families whose homes have been damaged by the earthquake.
