We'll continue to fight for Preston Bus Station.

That's from campaigners who're trying to save it. Yesterday the council voted unanimously against holding a referendum on it's future after it was handed a reprieve when the Tithebarn scheme was axed last year.

John Wilson is behind the campaign - he thinks there is no alternative, "there's bus stations and bus stations.  The interchange they've got planned is not planned to be finished by 2014, there's no infrastructure in place and they need to keep this station running and to do that they need to spend money now."
