Uniform plan for pupils

Two Blackburn with Darwen mums have come up with a novel idea to help with the cost of school uniforms.
Rachel Rhodes and Caroline Fotios have designed a scheme that sees parents donate unwanted items that are in good condition - they then sell those items off at a low cost to other mums and dads.
They hope it will help families who are struggling to make ends meet.
Councillor Maureen Bateson, executive member for children's services, praised the scheme, which is called Mum's the Word.
"Our children's centres have a long-standing tradition of encouraging families to recycle clothing that babies and young children grow out of. This is a great extension of that and will make a huge difference to many families in need.
"It's a fantastic example of what our Your Call campaign is all about - someone spotting a need in the community and taking action," she said.
