Police are renewing their appeals for information about the whereabouts of a missing 53 year old man from his home in Darwen.
Edward Sutton was reported missing by friends from his home on Cloister Drive having not been seen since 3.30pm on Saturday 28th July after spending the afternoon out walking.
His disappearance is completely out of character and police are appealing to anyone with any information about where he could be to contact them.
DS Kate Kennedy from Blackburn Police said: “Edward has been missing for ten days now and we are concerned about his welfare. I would appeal to anybody that thinks they may have seen him or anyone that has been in contact with Edward since Saturday to come forward and call police.”
Edward is described as being white, medium build with short grey hair, clean shaven with a pale complexion. He was last seen wearing tracksuit bottoms with trainers and was carrying a black and yellow back pack.
Edward is very active; he enjoys windsurfing and is a member of Rossendale sailing club. He also regularly goes mountain biking and rambling. Police believe he may have travelled to Cumbria, possibly the Scafell area.
